The Wildlife Conservation Society owns and operates The Bronx Zoo, NY Aquarium, Central Park Zoo, Prospect Park Zoo and Queens Zoo. To leverage their 120 year anniversary of saving wildlife I helped create content for an interactive campaign based on social interaction through twitter and instagram. We asked people to join a contest by taking selfies in 120 places around NYC,, locations mostly in the five parks or near NYC animal-themed icons. The campaign helped raise awareness, gain followers and drive ticket sales. To advertise the contest content ran on Subway Posters, in newspaper ads, though E-mail programs, partnerships with Wendy’s on tray liners and in-park collateral. The social media footprints gained more than 20k mentions in a short period of time.
